Welcome to Marilyn’s Village!
Marilyn Sowers was raised in Fountain and Montgomery counties in Indiana. She grew up with two sisters and a brother in a close-knit family. She professed faith in Christ early in life and kept her walk in the Lord until her last breath on earth. Marilyn (Hudson) married Ked Sowers in 1955. They had four children (Cindy, Keddy, David, Danny) and raised numerous foster children and was a motherly figure to numerous children around her!
She loved serving people in her family, church family, and helping neighbors in her community. She had a love for all, especially those with disabilities. She volunteered with Special Olympics, worked in special education classrooms, welcomed those with disabilities to church, and helped take care of neighbors with disabilities. She was truly an example of Christ’s love for those around her!
With all of that said, Marilyn Sowers was an easy choice to be the name’s sake for Marilyn’s Village!
